Book Clubs

Book clubs offer an opportunity to build a small community that will explore the topics presented in books we have identified as timely and supportive of teaching and learning. These clubs will meet several times during the semester (please see dates below), at which time participants will engage in facilitated discussion focused on the reading. Books will be provided for book club participants.

How Learning Works: 8 Research-Based Principles for Smart Teaching 

Join faculty across Virginia Tech’s campuses as we explore and discuss common teaching and learning problems in a variety of contexts. Participants will discuss the process for practically incorporating the latest research into their teaching and explore effective, engaging, and relevant strategies for addressing teaching and learning challenges.
